About the Department of Management Information Systems

The Department of Business Informatics, a multidisciplinary field that combines computer sciences and business management, started its educational activities with 40 students in the academic year of 2018-2019.

According to the decision of the Council of Higher Education, our "Business Informatics" Department will continue under the name "Management Information Systems" and will accept students starting from the 2020 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS).

If the current students of the Business Informatics Department qualify for graduation, their diploma will be issued according to the program they are currently registered in.

Our students who will graduate from the Business Informatics Department will be able to obtain a document concerning the equivalence of the program they graduated from to the new regulation, if they apply to the Council of Higher Education.

Our department is a multidisciplinary field where information technologies and business management converge. Today, advancements in the field of information have led to much more effective and efficient decision-making processes with the innovations they have brought to business science.

Students are admitted to our department based on their scores in Turkish Mathematics, and the language of instruction is Turkish. All courses related to computer sciences in the department will be conducted in computer laboratories. Our department has a comprehensive and current academic curriculum consisting of theoretical and applied courses in the fields of computer sciences and business management.
